My mom wanted to hear what the surf sounds like from the air. Unfortunately the wind noise from the forward motion covers up most of it, but you can make out a high hiss in places. In person, the sound was much more obvious and really quite an experience: I was hearing the surf from a position high above it instead of from the beach, so I was hearing many wave-tops at once instead of just one at a time.
